Texas holdem history

OFFICIALS recognise Robstown in Texas as the birthplace of Texas holdem in the early 1900s. As Texas holdem’s popularity spread throughout the state, the game started to be played in Las Vegas in 1967. After a trip to Vegas, bookmakers Terry Rogers and Liam Flood then introduced Texas holdem to Europe in the early 1980s where it quickly caught on with the gambling community. It was also made legal in California in 1988. But online Texas holdem has boomed in popularity in the past 10 years and become a big part of online Texas holdem history.
